"Alicia's talent, experience, and knowledge were instrumental in helping Global Lyme Alliance build a novel model clinical research platform in Tick-Borne Disease. She captured and implemented my vision as CEO, along with the strategy established by GLA Board of Directors, helping to bring to life the first-ever scientific-evidenced-based patient treatment study in Lyme disease. She is a trustworthy and highly-ethical professional committed to achieving the goals and objectives of the initiates she has been engaged to manage with confidence, hard work, and integrity." - Scott Santarella, CEO
"Alicia is an outstanding "get it done" manager and leader, with deep understanding of clinical research and development processes/regulations and, above all, how to motivate and achieve performance goals among disparate constituencies (research coordinators, clinicians, service providers, etc.) In addition, her entrepreneurial and creative skills she brings to her own business initiatives are brought to bear to achieve her client's goals, while working to ensure that the client gets the credit for success! I could not recommend her more highly". - Steven Young, President & COO
"I am writing a letter of recommendation for Alicia Sable-Hunt. I was hired by the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium (MMRC) in the fall of 2006 to serve as Quality Assurance Manager of the Tissue Bank. My position was directed by the MMRC Tissue Bank’s Program Manager, Alicia Sable-Hunt. Alicia was instrumental in the creation and setup of the MMRC Tissue Bank. She was responsible for hiring key laboratory personnel, establishing budgets and procuring the necessary laboratory equipment. Additionally, she was responsible for choosing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to track samples as well as patient information. The design of this system had to comply to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations. Because this tissue bank was a “consortium” Alicia needed to adapt to the many different institutional policies. During Alicia’s tenure the consortium grew from the four founding institutions to 15 actively contributing sites.
Alicia strived for excellence from each of the coordinators at contributing sites. She was able to do this by creating good working relationships, developing training manuals and was always available to help out. She was the troubleshooter being literally “on call” to answer any question and give advice for situations, errors and/or concerns. Alicia is a true professional. She always thought of the patient first and new the tissue bank was a valuable tool for pushing forward new drugs to a incurable and often overlooked cancer. She is hard working and innovative with her ideas. This is evident in her forays since leaving the MMRC. Her dedication to the cancer patient has extended to creating a nutrition bar and donating a portion of the proceeds back to cancer research. Alicia is truly a remarkable women and I have no reservations recommending her." - Kim Henderson, Senior Research Technology, Mayo Clinic
